The Musuem

For Trevin's birthday I asked him where he would like to go and he said to the museum.  I asked him which one, the Butterfly, the Transportation, the Children and he said THE MUSEUM.  And he said it in such a way to make me think I had asked the silliest question anyone could ask.

So we went to the Museum of Nature and Science.  THE MUSEUM.  And he had a great time.  Just like he does every time we go there.

Paulino Gardens

I remember going to Paulino Gardens with my parents when it was just a tomato stand before it began growing and selling all kinds of vegetables and flowers.  I took Nathan there as he was growing up and have taken the boys there also.  Now it has been sold and will be closing at the end of July.  So we went after Mother's Day for one last time.  The older boys were still in school so we only had Gavin.  We walked through the greenhouses and had a picnic in the gazebo and had one last look at the fish.

We will miss making more memories like this.

Flag Day

Each year I do something with the boys for flag day.  I love our flag and want them to know it is something to respect and be proud of.  This year we had red, white and blue spinners which the boys put in flower pots outside so the wind would blow them.  We then made flags for dessert.
As Gavin said "Yummy"

The Funniest Thing

Trevin received these shoes for his birthday.  They light up and blink and change colors.  They also need to be plugged in and recharged!

Field Day

The Friday before school was out was field day.  This is Kaiden's last as the 5th graders help with the younger classes but do not have events of their own.  😪

His class autographed their shirts.  Is playing Hungry Hungry Hippo here.
His hair was getting in his way, so his Mom tied it up.  I can remember him doing this race in Kindergarten and he couldn't walk with the big foam feet.

Trevin in a race where they played rock paper scissors when they met someone on the course.  The person who lost had to go back to the beginning.
Trevin was not too happy that his class had to wear pink shirts, but he got over that and had a great time.

Gavin was getting tired and just sat down on the grass.
That is until Kaiden offered to take him to the playground.
