I Found My Gram

I need to set the scene for this post by saying we always sit in the front row at church because Tito can hear better and there is room for his wheelchair.  I was a Lay Reader on Sunday morning.  I was just starting to read the First Lesson when I saw movement out of the corner of my eye.  It didn't take me long to realize that Kaiden was making his way up to me.  He wrapped his arms around my legs and said "I found my Gram".  Suppressing my laughter, I made it through the reading, reached down and picked him up and sat down to sing the Psalm.  I sat him down beside Pastor when I got up for the Second Lesson.  He got up along with me and came over and held onto me until I was finished.  I never made eye contact with his father because I knew I would loose it, but I heard that his expression was priceless.  As one of my friends said "I will remember this day the rest of my life."  What a Mother's Day!

Stacy took this picture (thank you!), but I cannot get it to rotate.  :(

How cute. I"m sure you will remember it for a long time also and enjoy telling Kaiden about it in years to come.
