Gratitude #12

Today I am grateful for electricity.  We had a power outage last night.  The power was off for over 4 hours.  Everything on my to do list for last night needed electricity.  Everything.  I had sewing to do.  I had ironing to do.  I had baking to do.  We don't run our A/C unless it gets really hot.  Our house stays comfortable with just our ceiling fan most of the time.  But yesterday it was hot - over 100.  It had been over 100 on Friday also.  By the time the power came back on close to 11 last night our house was over 90.  I tried to work on the computer - no Internet because the modem needs electricity.  It got dark, I tried to read by flashlight.  I am not sure what people did when they couldn't sleep before we became so dependent on electricity, but I didn't figure it out last night.  I am very grateful we had power today.  I sewed, I ironed, I baked, we ran our A/C.  It was good.

Gratitude #11

So grateful that Trevin passed his hearing test.  We were told that it was probably fluid in his ear and would go away, but it was wonderful news to hear!

Adventures in Baby Sitting

Although I have experience in taking care of babies, I never had two to tend to.  Tito has a little more experience as he was almost 13 when his twin brothers were born and helped his Mom quite a bit.  The other night we kept both the boys and it is hard work.  This little guy wants to be feed every two hours and is most unhappy if you are not punctual.  I was exhausted, but enjoyed every minute of it!

One Month

Trevin is one month old today.  He is such a good baby.  He just likes to eat every two hours which is not so good for his parents!

That's What Grams Do

We found a puddle after a rain shower and splashed and splashed.  Isn't that what Grams are supposed to do?  Teach them to splash in puddles and blow bubbles with their straw and other such things?

I am grateful that on the day I was 1 minute late to the bus stop, the bus was 2 minutes late!
