Happy Birthday Gram!

My birthday was on Thursday, but I had to work a long, long day, so we waited until Friday to celebrate. Nathan, Stacy and Kaiden came for dinner, so did my sisters (I was told that they were bribed - they only came to meet Kaiden!) So here Kaiden meets his Great Aunt Ruby.

Starbucks

I stopped by after work tonight for a short visit. Kaiden was awake and not fussing. Today was a better day - he slept through the afternoon and his first visit to Starbucks. Nathan and Stacy met Tito at Starbucks and he slept the entire time.

After rocking him, I kissed him and left him sleeping with a prayer he would let Mom and Dad sleep some tonight

Rough Week

Its been a rough week. Kaiden has not slept much. Nathan had to work all weekend. Gram needed to learn not to be so over enthusiastic.

Cherry Limeade

One week ago ..... Stacy was in labor and wanted nothing more than a Cherry Limeade from Sonic. We promised her as soon as it was over, she could have one. Shortly after Kaiden was born, she asked for her limeade, her Dr said someone better go to Sonic. I was more than happy to accommodate.

Kaiden Comes Home

Kaiden came home yesterday. He slept all the way home and the entire time I was there but not much last night I heard.

Is it just me or does he get more beautiful every day? I know I am prejudiced, but he is so cute!

He will be coming home tomorrow. They were supposed to come home today, but he needed to be under UV lights due to help heal the bruises because his blood and Stacy's are a different type. (This is one of the many things I haven't understood since Tuesday - things are not done the way they were in the 70's).

Meet Kaiden Christopher - he was born 2/4/09 at 6:51 pm weighing 9 lbs, 4.9 oz and was 21 3/4 inches long. Nathan and Stacy did not look like this by the time he was born. They reported to the hospital

yesterday at 8 am and Stacy was induced at 9 am - thirty two hours later she started to push. Kaiden was very reluctant to be born and after several attempts by the doctor to deliver him using forceps, he told Stacy they would need to do a C-section. Stacy said please let me try one more time and one more time was all it took.
