When You Give a Kid a Camera...

Well, I didn't exactly give him the camera.  I left it on the counter when I went to tak a shower and Tito was watching them finish breakfast.  This is some of what I found when I downloaded the pictures!

Bedtime Stories with Gram

When I do bedtime stories, I ask the boys to select the book(s) they want and we sit down to read.  Sometimes I read, sometimes Kaiden reads now.  We go slowly with each page and look at the pictures and ask questions about what is going on and point out things.  This is what I did with Nathan, this is what my mother did with me.

Tito and I have different methods, but they seem to like both ways.

Bedtime Stories with Tito

When Tito tells a bedtime story - he makes it up as he goes.  He can spin great tales that have the boys hanging on his every word.  He asks them questions and lets them take part in the story.  He did this for Carrie when she was little and his father did this for him.  They do enjoy this kind of bedtime story.

Twins? Triplets?

The kids get asked quite often if the boys are twins.  ????
Okay, I see the resemblance.  I know that they dress alike most of the time.  But look at the size difference!  They are twins born 3 years and 3 months apart!.

So if you are going to look at their clothes and think they are twins, would you look at these three and think they are triplets?

Tito had gone to pick up Kaiden and discovered they all were dressed alike!

Ring Bearers with a Twist

The boys were ring bearers in their Uncle Albert's wedding last week.  The twist was this wedding was held outside, in Colorado, in the mountains, in March.   

They wore pea coats and mittens and we were pretty lucky, it had snowed 2 days before the wedding, but warmed up so it wasn't too bad.

I am told there was a lot more snow on the ground the day before at the rehearsal.

This is not a great picture, but it shows the beautiful sunlight coming through as the sun was just starting to set.

 The other guests were looking at the bridesmaids coming, but I was watching my little guys.

They did a great job. 

 

The wedding favors were the blankets you see in these pictures - very practical for this wedding.

Funny Faces

Reading Is Fun

Kaiden is enjoying reading so much.  He is very good at sounding out the words.  If they are spelled the way they sound he almost always gets them.

He reads me his bedtime stories and is very proud.  And he should be.
