My New Favorite Picture

I don't remember what they were looking at, but I just love this picture of these two guys.

Santa and the Queen

My dear friend, Janice gave me the tiara for Christmas.  I told my family I was the Christmas queen like Lucy in Charlie Brown's Christmas.  Then this cutie showed up in his Santa suit and stole the spotlight!

I got out our baby Santa hat to complete the outfit.  You can't really see them in any of these pictures, but he had little Santa boots on also.

After presents and dinner - he was a pretty tired little guy.

Cookers

This year I gave the boys a Junior Betty Crocker Cookbook and made aprons for them.

I asked Janice to make the hats for them and she did an amazing job.  They were both thrilled.

Three Months

He smiles quite a bit and sticks his tongue out, but I couldn't capture a picture of him doing either.  He is making those sweet baby cooing sounds, but when he is unhappy, he is loud.

Christmas Cookies

Our annual cookie decorating day.  These boys take this very seriously.  After this was completed, we made soup (Ramen noodle soup) and then went to look at Christmas lights.  We took a cookie to eat of course!

Two Months

Gavin is two months old today.  I think he looks so much like his Mom.

Happy Halloween

We celebrated Nathan and Stacy's birthdays on Saturday - the first time we could get together this month.  I had pirate patches for everyone and got them to stand still long enough for a picture.  We couldn't find our tripod so ended up using a ladder to put the camera on which confused Trevin.  It was a fun night.  We covered the table with paper and put crayons at each place.  I drew tic tac toe and hangman in several places before everyone got here.  It was a hit.  Kaiden and Stacy are really good at hangman.

Cat in the Hat

The family dressed in their Halloween finest.  Gavin's shirt and bib say Thing 3.  Stacy has such great ideas for them each year.

Dude

I didn't think it would fit, but Tito did and sure enough.  Gavin wears the same size as our Build A Bear.

One Month

Time flies - he is one month old today.

Sewing Marathon

Since Gavin came 3 weeks early, I was not prepared.  The Saturday after he was born, I spent nine hours sewing - finishing his bedding.  I still have one sheet to make - perhaps this weekend.

Homecoming

He's been home for 2 weeks - I am just a little slow posting this adorable picture.

First Contact

Pre-school Bound

Trevin started pre-school the last week of August - he was so exited to go and to ride the bus.  

Second Grade

This is a little bit late, but Kaiden started 2nd grade back in August while we were in Alaska.  He is growing up too fast.

A Little Early

Gavin Lee arrived on September 20th at 2:58 am weighing 6 lbs, 3 oz and 19 inches long.  He wasn't due until October 15th, so he caught everyone off guard.

But he is healthy, is beautiful, has a full head of hair and we love him very much.

Bubbles

We took the boys one afternoon so their Mom could have some peace to do some unpacking done in their new house.  They wanted to blow bubbles. 

These guns make some pretty awesome bubbles.

And if you chase the bubbles and blow air on them they stay up quite awhile.

It is such a joy to watch them play and have such a good time.

Vacation Bible School

The boys went to Vacation Bible School back in August and had a great time.  Trevin always volunteered to help - he is holding the words to a song and dancing at the same time.

They had their feet painted to make footprints for a poster.  Trevin's love for orange was known to all the helpers by the end of the week.

Birthday Gift

The boys came over to make a "Dirt Cake" for their Auntie Carrie's birthday.

This is very serious stuff

And finally - the best part of cooking anything - licking the bowl.

Bookworm

This boy loves to read.  We are so proud of him.  I know I was not reading at his level after 1st grade.
