One of the nights we had Kaiden, we had a big lighting and thunderstorm. At first he was reluctant to go with Tito to watch the show, until I told him the flashes were God taking pictures of us and the thunder was God clapping when he looked at the picture. So he and Tito smiled and smiled for God's camera.
Of course you have to stick your hand and leg out to feel the rain.
He seemed happier to smile at God's camera than mine!

Zoo
We took Kaiden to the zoo last week. It was a beautiful day.
Our tour guide found all the animals on the map, but couldn't understand why we couldn't see the elephants - they were on the map after all. The zoo has built a new elephant exhibit which is supposed to be wonderful, but it wasn't opened yet and was blocked from view.
We did find the giraffes,
and flamingos,
and a river otter (it is hard to see, but there are 2 of them),
and this peacock kindly put on a show for us.
But riding the tiger was probably his favorite even though it was his second choice. The train was not working.
I forgot to change the settings on the camera before giving it to Tito, so all the pictures are blurry, but you can still see his big smile.

Gratitude #9
There were a couple of bumps in the road for this pregnancy, but Trevin arrived safe and healthy and with the cutest dimples on his elbows. For this I am truly grateful.

Escaped
We took Kaiden to the hospital Friday night to see his new brother. When we first walked in and he saw Trevin in his crib, he said "He got out!"

I Am Not Tired!
After lunch on Saturday, I told Kaiden it was time to read a story and take a rest. He announced he was not tired in no uncertain terms. I told him we would just sit down on the bed and read a story. Which we did. He wanted another one. We read another one. Then he wanted yet another one. I told him, I would get up in a minute to get another book and before long this happened.
I went in later to check on him and he was all stretched out. He looked so long. I guess he wasn't too tired, he only slept 2 1/2 hours!

Tricycle
Tito found this tricycle when Kaiden was pretty little. When he over on Saturday, I brought it out to see if his legs were long enough to ride it. They sure were, he got on and off he went.
Up our street to the stop sign was "work". Then around the corner and down the next street to the "store". Then around the next corner and back to our house for "gas". He kept glancing back and asking "Can I go faster?" I told him he could if he would wait at the corner and off he would go, faster than I was walking. He did wait at every corner. We even made a trip to Tito's Car Wash.

Thrown Under the School Bus
There is a neat, fairly precise person who lives in our house and another person who is the exact opposite. The neat person also tends to complain about the other person. The other night the kids were at the house and I said something about someone not putting something back where it belonged. Right away Kaiden shouted "Tito". We all laughed and I said he certainly didn't hesitate to throw Tito under the bus. Kaiden said "Under the School Bus!"
We got a pretty good laugh out of the situation, but it made me think, if Kaiden knew who I was complaining about, I am complaining too much and need to be a little more tolerant. Kids sure can keep you honest!
