Rocco has been with us for almost 6 weeks, but he went home yesterday. David is going to really miss him. They have been hanging out together, sleeping late after I leave for work, walking to get the mail everyday.
This picture was taken the night Kaiden was born. The hospital sent a cap home so Rocco could get used the baby's scent. The first night he sniffed and sniffed and was a little leary of that hat that smelled so different. But when he first met Kaiden, he smelled him and just went on about his business - that smell was part of his life. As you can see in the picture below, he has been sleeping with the hat for the past 4 1/2 weeks
We will miss him, but he needs to be with his family and get to know Kaiden.

OH MY GOSH!!!!! That's the best picture (Rocco and "Tito") I have ever seen. I don't care what anyone says, he's (Rocco) good for you guys and I hope you get to keep him. Plus, it's proven scientifically that pets are a stress reducer.

Kaiden is a beautiful baby and all have done a grand job to share the joy! Being a grandparent is truly experiencing the grand circle of life. The doggie photo with the scent cap was captivating and the two senior aunts holding Kaiden and counting toes was a jewel. Congrats to you all. Love Little Sister and Big Roger in California.
