Gratitude #15
Today I am grateful for a kind word. Last week I had an awful day at work - nothing large, no emergencies, just a long day of little things piling up. Plus I had a dentist appointment at the end of the day. Just for a cleaning, but I have had my fill of dentist appointments this year with the implant, the abscessed tooth, the crown, the $$$. My hygienist who has been cleaning my teeth for 6 or 7 years said I don't know if I have ever told you this, but I like when you are my last appointment of the day because you are always pleasant and never a problem, so I know if it has been a rough day it will end on a high note. Well, it sure helped my day! It also made me think I should be thanking people who brighten my day more often than I do.

Gratitude # 14
Today I am grateful for things working out. A few days ago I managed to leave my keys at work so I had to call Tito to bring me a car key to drive home from the bus. I didn't know it at the time but Tito had locked his keys in his car and had to come on his motorcycle hoping the partial key set he found had my car key on it. It did! But then it started raining, so he had to ride in the rain without a poncho. Then he ran out of gas. I saw him pulled over on the road, I circled back to see what the problem was, went home got the gas can, went to the gas station and back to where he was. Thankfully it had stopped raining. In the end we both made it home safely and both still chuckling at our adventure for the day.

Gratitude # 13
My intent was to have a gratitude every week I was 60 with a couple thrown in for good measure to make it 60 gratitudes this year...well I'm behind. I have been 60 for almost 22 weeks now, so instead of just thinking about what I am grateful for, I need to be writing them down.
Today I am grateful for our "couple friends". You know how you can have friends and your husband and can have friends and sometimes you get along with your friends' spouses and sometimes you don't or your spouse doesn't? We have two sets of couple friends that we not only get along with but they are friends also. The six of us have so many good times together. A couple weeks ago we all got away to the mountains for a weekend and had the best time. It was just what I needed. I am so grateful for Janice, John, Vivien and Gary. Thank you for all the laughter.

We Have To Keep Him
The other night I was asking Kaiden what he thought about Trevin and he told me "We have to keep him". I asked him why and he said "Mama says"
Stacy said he has never asked her if they can take him back, but does say he cries a lot.
I think they way he is holding his hand, he wouldn't really want to give him back!

Welcome Home
This was what I saw tonight when I came home from work.
He was even able to maneuver between the cars!

Two Months
Trevin is two months old today. He is such a happy baby. He smiles all the time (except when I try to take a picture) and coos and gurgles and is trying so hard to get control of his arms.

Cherries: The Game
We were eating outside so we were just throwing the pits into the yard.
One of Kaiden's landed on the fence. He exclaimed he had won! He is definitely a part of this family.

It's Just Perfect
Tito had promised Kaiden a flag for his tricycle. The one he had was a little big, so I told Kaiden I thought I had one in the house. When I found this one, he said "It is just perfect".
He has said a couple of other things lately that I need to write down before I forget them. I was making a salad one night and cut open an avocado, instead of it coming apart, just the shell came off. Kaiden was watching and said "Wow, there is a salad inside." The same night I had a bag of broccoli slaw I was using in the salad. Kaiden saw it and asked for some of that cheese. I told him it wasn't cheese but broccoli, so he asked for some of the broccoli cheese.
The day Trevin was baptized, he asked his Dad why everyone kept calling him Trevin Terik, his name is Baby Trevin.

Take One, Take Two...
Take one
Take two
Takes six - takes three, four and five not shown
Take seven - thinking this was as good as it was going to get. Notice Aunt Ruby holding Kaiden's head up? Then I got an e-mail from Gary with this picture - he was standing right beside me.

Baptism
With his godparents. The rose was put on the font by Janice who is Kaiden's godmother. This is something her mother-in-law did for her boys at their baptism; she did this for Kaiden and now for Trevin.
Afterwards we came back to our house for brunch. It was a lovely day.
